Final Sale. No refunds, exchanges or replacements. All will be sent with at least one visible eye. Please inspect immediately upon receiving, and reach out if there are any concerns. We will not be responding to requests for replacements in the spring. No exceptions.  

Winter storage is the responsibility of the buyer. We will not to respond to any loss or failure to wake tuber in the spring.

Before purchasing, please note that all sales are final.

We do not accept cancellations, changes, or combined orders once placed.

We don’t issue refunds or exchanges.

Please ensure you have the knowledge and experience in caring for tubers and cuttings, before purchasing.

If ordering out of season, please make sure to have a working knowledge of wintering techniques.

By Placing an Order, You Agree To:

Accept all risks associated with purchasing and growing live plants.

Assume liability once the order has shipped.

Respect our communication and order policies.

Understand that no guarantees are made regarding plant performance or bloom form. We do not guarantee tuber production or absence of plant virus/gall.

Follow shipping claim instructions if any issues arise.

Shipment photos on condition is available upon request.

We ask for our verification for you to document and photograph of the products immediately once received, any shipment damages or concerns buyers must reach out immediately- not days after.

Shipping

Live plants are subject to many variables. Once your order leaves us, it is your responsibility.

When possible we send exact photos of the product you are purchasing. Do not purchase if the plants/tubers are not up to your standards. Once purchased there is no refund and no replacements.

Being informed about the condition of the plants upon receiving them helps us to communicate proper practices for best results.

If your cuttings arrive with some blackened leaves, this is a common stress response. Trim, mist, and place in indirect light. Please follow instructions in our care package.

We are not responsible for:

Shipping delays or carrier errors

Damage due to extreme weather

Plant failure after arrival

Poor planting, handling, or growing conditions.

If shipping damage occurs:

Please photograph and document immediate arrival conditions.

To purchase additional insurance please email a request within 24 hours, please add in subject line - “Shipping insurance for (order number)”.

All orders are shipped by fastest shipping, with cuttings shipped by overnight.

Quality Assurance

We work hard to provide healthy, true-to-type cuttings and tubers. However:

Viruses and diseases are not covered. Despite precautions, they can be introduced by pests or environmental stressors.

Bloom forms (e.g., open centers) can vary with growing conditions and are not guaranteed.

Plant performance depends on factors beyond our control: soil, water, light, pests, disease pressure, and climate conditions. We do not guarantee your plants to produce tubers for sale or for next season growth.

Incorrect Variety

For all varieties purchased under New to Us policy, no replacements or refunds will be made. Buyers assumed risk upon purchase. We only purchase from reputable farms and do our best to minimize mislabels but mistakes happen. Mislabels is part of the risk of acquiring rare varieties before the general public.

Fall tubers mislabels will also not be offered replacements or refunds, due to many varieties we sell being rotated out for the following year, we do not have replacements to offer.

Communication

We expect and value respectful communication across all channels—email, social media, or otherwise. We kindly ask that you do not use social media or messaging apps to contact us about your order.

We are a small hobby operation and email is the only way we can track and manage customer communication. We aim to respond within 48 hours, but kindly allow up to 5 business days during peak seasons.

We strive to assist all our customers, but we will not tolerate:

  • Harassment

  • Intimidation

  • Threatening or abusive messages

  • Foul language

If we receive communication that is aggressive or abusive in any form, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order and a $100 fine wil be implemented to cover our cost of time in dealing with your choices. We are happy to help with any issues but only in a respectful environment.

Reminder: Please remember you are ordering LIVE rooted cuttings, Summer’s Dream Garden will not be responsible for checking your appropriate temperatures for shipping, so please do not order if your local weather forecast is likely to experience extreme cold or extreme heat. Please ensure someone is available to receive the package to avoid plants being left in the cold or heat for extended amounts of time.

**** Disclaimer: Regarding New to us varieties- while we do our best to confirm blooms before sale, many of our cultivars are rare and coveted varieties we hope to share with the world as soon as possible. Therefore purchasing these varieties will come with some risk. Mislabels and mistakes may occur, we do not offer replacements or refunds. ****

All sales are final. No cancellations or returns are permitted. Once an order is placed, no modifications to that order is allowed. You can always make another order if there are additional items you want. We are a very small operation, therefore must limit the amount of requests we can accomodate.

Damages of plants to request for refund/replacement MUST be done within 24 hours of receiving package, and MUST include pictures. We strive to provide healthy beautiful plants to send our customers, but once they are in transit this process goes out of our control, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

At this time, we will attempt to accommodate combine shipping requests, but all combined shipping orders will be subjected to $5 handling fee for every transaction that needs to be merged. Please email us at summersdreamgarden@gmail.com with your order numbers to request. Allow 1-3 business days for confirmation of refund.

Unfortunately, we also do not have the option to hold items in cart. Until payment is made, items are not guaranteed to be secured.

Please assure that your mailing address is correct upon placing your order. We’re not responsible for orders that are shipped to the incorrect address, of which you provide upon placing your order. If an incorrect address occurs, you may correct this PRIOR to your order being shipped out by contacting us directly. Please make sure we respond to this request, if we don’t, that means we are not aware of the change, therefore, we are not liable.

Shipping Options: Please select the preferred shipping window (Early May/Late May) that will be best for you to receive the dahlia cuttings. As we are located in BC, farther regions (Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia) there is only the option to ship the order via FedEx Express services to ensure the cuttings arrive healthy and strong. With your purchase being as precious as it is, we do not want to risk extended time for plants to be damaged in transit.

We will be offering On-Site PICK UPS for locals, however, you are responsible to provide the correct contact information in terms of phone number and email, please make sure to check your email for any communication sent out in regards to pick up date and time (or pre-arranged appointments). We do not have adequate staffing or time to entertain other options. Please select local pick up, Vancouver/Lower Mainland at checkout.

Shipping Window: Tentatively, we are planning for May shipping windows. Please note in your order form if you require specific shipping accommodations (such as later shipping).

Guarantee:
​We do not guarantee tubers and cuttings to be free of virus.  What we can guarantee is they all looked great in our garden last season, producing the amazing blooms you see in the photos used on our website. This does not apply to New to Us varieties which included disclaimers in the listing. Any suspicious plants are pulled and tossed. while cutting plants and blooms, the sheers are sanitized in 10% bleach solution between cuts.

Based on recent research by the ADS (American Dahlia Society) it is found that over 87% of dahlias carry one or more viruses.

Due to this fact, we do not offer refunds or replacements for plants that suddenly appear virused after the plants leave our care. However feel free to reach out to us over email if you have additional concerns.

Bugs and fungus are a part of gardening life, and we do not refund or replace for these. We use beneficials and organic sprays to protect our plants while they are growing indoors, but it is a fact that not all bugs and fungus can be prevented without employing industrial grade pesticides and fungicides.
